Dealing with Landlords

If you've lived on campus up to this point, you've been dealing with a landlord already. That landlord was the University of California. 

So you should be somewhat familiar with the responsibilities that you would have as a tenant, and the rights that you would have as well.

You had to abide by certain rules, pay your housing fees on time, etc.  It's not much different off campus either.  However, some rogue landlords can make life difficult for students, so it's important to do some reading on what to expect, and what your rights are.
